The College of Engineering and Physical Sciences is committed to helping students achieve the necessary industry exposure and experience to succeed in their future careers. Many of our current students gain hands-on skills through projects in our courses as well as research opportunities during their time as a student. Go to our Research Centers & Groups page for a list of other labs and research centers.
UNH students can often get excellent training and experience right here on campus while they are pursuing their coursework. The university's InterOperabililty Lab, for example, employs students from all levels in the world's largest and most diverse testing network of data communications equipment. The IOL employs students majoring in computer science and electrical and computer engineering, as well as other majors, including math, physics, chemistry, and civil engineering. Internships are also an excellent way to apply knowledge and gain necessary on the ground experience. Many of our students pursue internship opportunities over the summer.
UNH is committed to helping its students put their academics to work--with research, internships, and travel abroad opportunities that will enrich their life-long love of learning.
