Math 425 Placement Procedures

The Department of Mathematics & Statistics uses the ALEKS PPL Placement Assessment for students wishing to take Math 425.  If you plan to take MATH 425 but have not met the prerequisite**, you must take the ALEKS assessment.

ALEKS is a powerful online artificial-intelligence based assessment tool.   You can take the ALEKS Placement Assessment up to a total of  four times before the start of classes. However, between any two consecutive attempts, you will be required to have a 72-hour cool-off period and to spend at least five hours working in a Prep and Learning Module assigned by ALEKS.  The ALEKS PPL Placement Assessment is open and available NOW, and you should take it as soon as possible in case you need to take advantage of the re-take opportunities.
