Student Adventures

This summer, my sister and I decided to hike the John Muir Trail in California. This is a 212 mile trail which starts in Yosemite Valley, and hikes south through John Muir Wilderness, Ansel Adam Wilderness, and Sequoia National Forest, to the summit of Mt. Whitney (the highest point in the continental USA). We hiked approximately 14 miles a day, carrying all of our supplies including food, tents, stove, sleeping bags, clothes etc…  Although this adventure was incredibly challenging, (one of the harder trips I have embarked on), the sights along the way, and the lessons I learned were well worth the trek.
