Department Instrumentation

Instruments may have been purchased by the department, typically to be used for both teaching and routine research applications. The division that uses the instrument for teaching purposes is in charge. A faculty member in that division should be contacted by potential users.

Faculty Instrumentation

Several major instruments belong to specific research groups in the department. These instruments have usually been partially or fully purchased with funds granted to the faculty member in charge. This faculty member sets the policy regarding instrument use. Faculty will often let outside researchers use their instruments or run samples on them if this does not interfere with their group's ongoing research. University Instrumentation Center (UIC)

The University Instrumentation Center is a University-wide core facility dedicated to the advancement of the research and academic missions of UNH and the surrounding research community. The UIC is open and available to all faculty, staff, and students as well as non-UNH academic entities, government, and industrial customers.

Our Mission

The mission of the University Instrumentation Center (UIC) is to support the research, teaching, and engagement missions of the University of New Hampshire (UNH) by providing access to the best analytical instruments, scientists, and engineers.
