Accelerated Graduate Certificate Programs

The UNH ECE Department is excited to introduce two Accelerated Graduate Certificate Programs.
The department has two online graduate certificate programs, one in the area of ubiquitous computing, the other in wireless communication systems. In both of these programs students need to complete two required courses and two to three electives. The new accelerated programs allow students to enroll in one of the certificate programs during their senior year at UNH ECE. The accelerated programs have the following rules:
  1. Dual credit. ECE seniors who are enrolled in an Accelerated Graduate Certificate Program are allowed to take two 700-level ECE courses for dual credit, both towards completing their BS in electrical engineering or computer engineering, and towards later completing one of two ECE Graduate Certificate Programs.
  2. Minimum GPA is 2.5. Students need a minimum GPA of 2.5 to be accepted into an Accelerated Graduate Certificate Program. In contrast, students need a minimum GPA of 3.2 to be accepted to the Accelerated MS program.
  3. BS required before completion of certificate program. Students must complete their BS degree before they can be awarded a graduate certificate.
  4. Option to continue towards MEng, MS, PhD. Students who complete a certificate program with a GPA of 3.0 or better can be admitted to another UNH ECE graduate program. They can use the credits they earned in the Accelerated Graduate Certificate Program towards completing their chosen graduate degree.
