Building Community Outside the Classroom
In addition to our dynamic day programs, Tech Camp also offers an option for students to live on campus in a dorm while their program is in session. Surrounded by fellow campers and staff members, the residential option integrates learning and social development, helping to build both personal identity and a strong Tech Camp community. Many students say the best part about Tech Camp is making new STEM-focused friends outside the classroom and experiencing life on a vibrant college campus.
Downtime & Fun Time
In addition to providing ample time for students to relax after a busy day of STEM exploration, the residential option also includes a variety of sports and team-building exercises organized by our camp counselors (all energetic UNH students, an added bonus). Movies, trivia games and other activities are planned for evenings. All meals are served in the Holloway Commons.
Culture of Safety
Residential campers are monitored by a well-trained staff to ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times. The camp employs an experienced Residential Hall Director who is trained in both running a dorm and first aid. Our counselor-to-student ratio is typically 6:1. A buddy system is also employed so students are never left alone. On-site health services and security are available in case of an emergency. All necessary COVID-19 protocols are monitored and enforced.
Financial Assistance
In addition to providing financial support for Tech Camp itself, need-based scholarships are also available to cover the cost of housing for students who quality.
