How much does it cost to print projects?
At this time, we are happy to be able to provide 3D printing at no cost to CEPS student projects pending approval from their professor or advisor. Grant funded, personal or non CEPS related print jobs will be charged based amount of material used. This cost will be 6 cents per gram of material used for the project as calculated by the NVBots system. If a part fails to print we will contact you to let you know. There will be no charge for failed print jobs but we will work with you and make suggestions for changes that will make it printable.
Can I see my print job in progress?
Yes by visiting S178 during the printing. Currently our online viewing portal is down .
What colors are available?
We are limited to what color filament loaded on the printers spool. Typically we have blue loaded but occasionally Red, Grey and even Purple may be loaded. If you want a particular color, which is not, loaded we may be able to accommodate your request but it would have to wait for a free time on the printer queue.
If you’d like to view or use the 3D printer please use our online link to registrar.
How it works

Recommended Tips for 3D printing
Our 3D printer is very user friendly but there are tips that will help make sure your project will print out smoothly. All files submitted must be in an STL file format. There are several features including fill density and variouse option for top, bottom and side layers that we can select or just use the standard recommended settings. We strongly recommend viewing the Getting Started with 3D Printing guide from the NVBots web page which goes through each of the settings. If you'd like to use anything different than the standard please let us know
If you have any other question please contact the TSC Director , Kevan Carpenter at kevan.carpenter@unh.edu
