UNH LEADS ROADMAP RESEARCHING IN-SPACE MANUFACTURING

UNH’s Olson Center (under the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences) will lead a consortium road mapping effort on in-space manufacturing with NASA, Purdue University, University of Alabama, Physical Sciences Inc., and Southwest Research Institute through a grant awarded from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The goal of the road map is to explore ways to commercialize, industrialize and democratize space by creating a manufacturing ecosystem off earth. Over the next year and a half, the center will conduct four workshops to gain stakeholder input for the roadmap.
