The 2019 Advocacy and Action Award

Prof. Meg Greenslade and Prof. Sam Pazicni

The Advocacy and Action award was presented to Profs. Meg Greenslade and Sam Pazicni by the Community, Equity and Diversity Office for their work on the CC2CEPS scholarship program. This NSF-funded initiative supports community college students as they transfer to the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences to pursue baccalaureate STEM degrees. CC2CEPS has helped to increase graduation rates of students transferring from community colleges to CEPS from roughly 50% to having 90% of scholars persist in their studies over the last 5 years. Their work as made our College more inclusive of students wishing to pursue STEM degrees. To learn more about this initiative, please contact Prof. Meg Greenslade or Prof. Sam Pazicni.
