Chemistry is a dynamic, creative, yet practical discipline. The study of chemistry provides students with the critical thinking and problem-solving skills that are necessary for success in many careers. Students interested in pursuing chemistry as an undergraduate have two options: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. The B.S. Chemistry degree is certified by the American Chemical Society; the B.A. degree may also lead to ACS certification, depending on program plan.
