Summer UNHCEMS Internship Program

Now accepting applications until April 28, 2023 Internship dates: June 5 through July 28, 2023 Earn $3,500.00 ($22/hour)!

This is a professional development opportunity! Learn industry standards for inventory management, experience a variety of labs and their set ups and learn best management practices for lab safety! Interns will be scanning in chemicals throughout the campus to update the UNHCEMS© system. Interns will work in teams of two under the general direction of Karrie Myer, Environmental Compliance Coordinator, EH&S. Interns will be expected to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm throughout the program. This will leave time during the day for summer research in the student’s program. Interns will be expected to wear closed toed shoes, long pants, safety glasses or goggles, gloves and lab coats during all scanning. tablet computer, scanner, and PPE provided by OEHS. Applications should be composed of a resume and a statement describing the student’s status in the graduate program and a letter of recommendation from the student’s advisor. Students include in the statement why they would be an asset for this position and what they hope to gain from the experience.

Postdoctoral Diversity and Innovation Scholar
