Research

UNH ECE faculty and students tackle practical and theoretical problems through sponsored research in many diverse areas. The research activities are supported by federal and state grants, as well as local and national industry.

Our faculty and students work on research programs in computer networking, wireless communication systems, embedded computing, alternative energy systems, digital signal and image processing, microelectronic design and testing, and biomedical instrumentation. All of these areas call for interdisciplinary approaches. Thus ECE faculty have developed strong ties with researchers in computer science, mechanical engineering, physics, kinesiology, occupational therapy, etc. at UNH and at other institutions. One of our strongest ties is with the UNH InterOperability Lab, which provides our faculty and students an excellent opportunity for research in computer and network communications.
