Who says science and engineering students can't study abroad or don't need to?

CEPS maintains exchange programs with universities in Edinburgh, Scotland. Additionally, the UNH International Research Opportunities Program provides grants for students who want to do research abroad during the summer.

Opportunities open to UNH students

Global E3 Engineering Exchange Program

Global E3 allows engineering students to enjoy a fulfilling study abroad experience at one of 31 international member institutions. Through participation in the program, Global E3 graduates gain the necessary foreign language ability, cross-cultural skills, and professional experience to excel in the multinational/multicultural business environment of the 21st century. Global E3 students pay UNH tuition while enjoying the benefits of attending an overseas institution. Students can study abroad for the fall semester, spring semester, or the entire school year. At some member universities, Global E3 students are able to take on a supplemental internship after their study abroad experience. Member institutions include some of the best universities in, Australia, Austria, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom. Edinburgh, Scotland

UNH students in Civil Engineering and Environmental Engineering are eligible to spend a semester at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. UNH is also one of the universities where Heriot-Watt students can spend their fifth year completing a master's in engineering degree. Conducting Research Abroad

UNH students from any major can apply for a grant to pursue a research project abroad with the International Research Opportunities Program. Recipients spend 9 weeks doing research in a foreign country during the summer of their junior year. UNH students have conducted research in Costa Rica, France, Spain, Brazil, Hong Kong, Norway, Australia, England, Finland, Thailand, Tanzania, Honduras, Ecuador, Russia, Canada, and Ukraine.
