CEPS Makerspace

The CEPS Makerspace located in Kingsbury Hall fosters innovation and creativity in a shared space accessible to all through informal and formal experiential learning opportunities. The center will help students, staff, and faculty refine their ideas creations and engage in collaborative and entrepreneurial projects. It welcomes all UNH students (novice to experienced and freshmen to graduate students), staff and faculty and will help connect you with others on campus to turn your ideas into creations. 

Hours of operation: 11:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday-Thursday, and Friday 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. during the fall and spring semester.  Summer access available by contacting kevan.carpenter@unh.edu

Makerspace

Who can utilize the Makerspace: Any UNH student, staff or faculty with UNH ID is welcome in the CEPS Makerspace. There is no cost to use the space or equipment but material cost vary per equipment. Department/Grant funding codes and CAT’s Cache excepted forms of payment.

How to gain access: Just stop in during its open hours and any student staff member should be able to train you on the equipment. Once you are trained on the equipment you just need to sign in the next time you visit to record what equipment you are using and materials. Some of the equipment requires you to take the CEPS Shop safety course online prior to being trained on the individual piece of equipment in the Makerspace. This includes the CNC router, CNC mill, Horizontal Band saw, Drill press and the laser cutter.
