Earn High School Credit

A Rigorous and Flexible Learning Environment

UNH has partnered with the Virtual Learning Academy Charter School (VLACS) to provide high school students with an opportunity to earn credit in conjunction with their participation in Tech Camp. Students engage with VLACS for a variety of reasons. Some attend part-time to explore an area of interest not offered in their home district. Others use VLACS as their homeschool platform. Some enroll full-time and earn their diploma through VLACS.

Tech Camp

The UNH Tech Camp micro-internship, as our VLACS program is called, helps prepare students for STEM-related careers through real-world experience. In addition to attending Tech Camp, participants will also research a career of interest and associated pathways to entering this field. Work produced at Tech Camp will be used to demonstrate an understanding of the skills and responsibilities associated with this career field. To earn credit, students will complete the program and, with the help of an instructor/mentor, complete associated VLACS work.

The Virtual Learning Academy Charter School is an established and respected leader in customized, online learning. Their customized approach helps elementary, middle, high school and adult learners earn their diploma and learn new skills. VLACS is available to everyone and free for New Hampshire residents.
