CEPS FUEL Fund: Funding Undergraduate Experiential Learning

  • Banner Image Sarah

The CEPS FUEL Fund assists in launching students into high-impact experiences by providing financial support in the form of stipends for internships and internship-related expenses. We strive to support those undergraduate students who are proactively seeking experiences that contribute to their career goals while acknowledging that financial assistance may be needed to complete the experience.

The FUEL Fund provides $3000 stipends that can be used to support unpaid and/or lower-paying internships or housing related expenses. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and will be reviewed bi-weekly.

The FUEL Fund is designed to assist undergraduate students in gaining industry experience. Regretfully, it cannot fund UNH/on-campus experiences.

We will be able to support up to 10 students for the summer of 2024. We encourage you to submit an application if any of the following apply to your situation:

  • You’ve secured an internship related to your career goals that is unpaid OR paying $15/hour or less.
  • You’ve secured an internship and in order to participate you will need to secure housing, however, a housing stipend or relocation assistance is not provided as part of the experience.

Criteria for Applying:

  • Students must be completing an undergraduate program within CEPS.
  • Students must be in good academic standing.
  • Students must have secured an internship related to their career goals and provide offer letter.
  • Students must provide documentation that the internship is unpaid OR paying $15/hour or less. If this information is not in the offer letter, email verification will suffice.
  • Internship must require at least 30+ hours a week and last for at least 8 weeks.
  • Students may only receive funding from the FUEL Fund once during their academic career.
  • If awarded a stipend, students must provide a 1-2-page reflection of the experience at its completion and agree to be interviewed and/or featured in CEPS/UNH materials.

Application Process:

Students will apply by submitting an updated resume and a one-page essay describing (1) how this internship experience impacts their career and professional goals, (2) how the funds will be used in support of their internship, and (3) why this experience is important to them.

Application Due Dates:

Funding for Summer 2024:  Applications are now being accepted and collected on a rolling basis. All applications will be reviewed, and applicants will be notified of the status of their application within three weeks of submission.
