Wednesday, April 03, 2024 - 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

DeMeritt Hall

The UNH Department of Physics and Astronomy welcomes the public to drop in for this free all-ages event where you can learn all about the upcoming solar eclipse in New Hampshire! This event will feature informal talks and hands-on activities related to eclipses. Discover how UNH scientists and students are studying our sun — everything from solar flares to space weather, and why it matters to us here on Earth. Activity participants will learn how to make their own inexpensive solar projector and can take home a pair of certified eclipse glasses to view the solar eclipse safely. Free parking will be available in the Elliot Alumni Center parking lot at 9 Edgewood Drive on the UNH Durham campus starting at 5:30 pm.
