Zack Angelini ’14 ‘16G was recently honored by GreenBiz in its annual 30 Under 30, which recognizes emerging leaders in business sustainability around the world. He serves as the senior environmental stewardship manager at Timberland working to mitigate the environmental impact of its boots, jackets and accessories.

The honor was not the first received by Angelini. He was presented with a Hero Award from Timberland and in February was selected to Drapers 30 under 30 initiative that celebrates the rising stars of fashion retail.

At UNH, Angelini studied environmental engineering as an undergraduate student before completing his master’s degree in civil engineering. The Reading, Massachusetts native conducted research in multiple labs at UNH and was also active in international engineering projects and research in Australia and Ghana. Angelini was part of a five-student team that assisted in the planning, installation and maintenance training of a solar panel system at the Takumi Community School in Toh-Kpalime, Ghana. Professor James Malley served as the academic and technical advisor for the project.

Before graduating, Angelini completed an internship at Timberland as part of UNH’s Center for Social Innovation and Enterprise internship program. He was later offered a position as the associate manager of environmental stewardship.
