Work with us

Do you enjoy science, math and engineering?
Do you want to inspire middle and high school students to explore the world of STEM?

If you answered yes, then you have come to the right place!

UNH Tech Camp hires day and night counselors for its three-week sessions each July. We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic STEM undergraduates and graduate students who enjoy working with youth and helping them learn about science and engineering. Camp counseling is a challenging, demanding and rewarding occupation that is also lots of fun. Counseling at UNH Tech Camp provides an opportunity to practice leadership, collaboration and communication while leading students grades 5-12 in daily challenges

Expectations, Background Checks and Staff Training

UNH Tech Camp is a community with very high expectations for the learning environment we create for campers, teachers, and families. Our philosophy is grounded on the utmost respect and safety for all our community members and includes the following elements:

  • T stands for two; we expect youth to follow the buddy system and we expect adults to follow the buddy system around youth as well.

  • E stands for excellence in operations.

  • C stands for the community of care we create for our members.

  • H stands for “How can I help?” which is the attitude we expect from counselors and all staff.

All staff and volunteers working with minors at UNH must complete all required background checks and child abuse training. There will be a required camp-wide training in July, prior to the start of camp, where will cover expectations, camper safety, and how best to provide a fun, safe, and educational environment for youth.
